ECA has kicked off its new Safety, Health & Environment Site Visits initiative for Members.
Statistically, the majority of workplace accidents occur on-site. ECA's SH&E staff are experienced SH&E professionals with deep knowledge of on-site hazards and working conditions. The Site Visits initiative is designed to help ECA Members carry out their work in a safe manner and ensure compliance throughout their projects.
ECA's Head of SH&E Tony Sidwell recently carried out Site Visits for the following Members:
- AF Switchgear, Sutton in Ashfield
- Elmleigh Electrical Systems, Pepsico Skelmersdale
- Develop Training, Huby, York
Tony commented, "Some of the benefits of site visits include help to identify and manage site health and safety risks, a walk and talk tour of site, suggestions to support and help enhance your health and safety performance, discussion of any relevant legal requirements, and a report to note observations made during the visit.
"The written report could also assist when tendering new work or completing Pre-Qualification Questionnaires."
ECA Members who would like to arrange a Site Visit are advised to contact Tony Sidwell directly by email at tony.sidwell@eca.co.uk.
