In November, Professional Security Magazine held their annual Women in Security Awards, the security industry’s dedicated awards that recognise and honour the accomplishments, value, and contributions of women in the security industry.
The FSA was proud to sponsor the event, which took place at Shakespeare’s Underglobe Theatre in London. The award ceremony was returning for the first time since the pandemic, and this made it a particularly special occasion. The proceedings were hosted by Roy Cooper, Managing Director of the magazine and awards patron, Una Riley.
I was once more honoured to be one of the judges. All the entrants were of an exceedingly high calibre, which made choosing the winners in each category extremely difficult.
I would like to congratulate each of the winners and finalists, who have contributed so much to the industry . Over the years, inspiring women have blazed a trail in the security industry and this trend continues. The awards ceremony is a reminder of the great work being accomplished in the sector, and a chance to highlight the fact that a diverse workforce always delivers better outcomes.
I applaud all this year’s winners and nominees for their fantastic entries and look forward to seeing them reach new heights in their careers, and hopefully motivating more women to join this exciting and innovative sector full of opportunities.
