TESP 'hopeful' of apprenticeship funding increase for in England

The Electrotechnical Skills Partnership (TESP) has announced that a review of funding for the Installation and Maintenance Electrician apprenticeship in England has been completed and they are hopeful of an increase. This follows on from several months of engagement with the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education (IfATE), led by TESP, with assistance from ECA and others, including JTL and NICEIC. Any confirmed increase is subject to completing formal passage through IfATE processes and Secretary of State sign off.

Once formalised, a new version of the apprenticeship will be issued and the aim will be to switch over to this at the earliest opportunity. TESP has promised to share further details and updates on progress as soon as possible.

ECA offers support to Members across the entire apprenticeship journey with resources and signposting available on our website. Access them here.
