Lark Technology Group has been a Member of ECA since 1989. This year they are celebrating 35 years of trading.
Lark Technology, based in Bury St Edmunds, specialises in process control system design, build and installation and carry out maintenance and installation work for various commercial and industrial clients.
The firm employs 50 staff and has an annual turnover of £6million. It is a significant employer in the region, and as such it takes its duty to the local community seriously. As well as supporting local charities, each year it commits to investing in young people by taking on two or three apprentices.
James Rawling, a Director of Lark Technology started as an apprentice in the business 24 years ago. His experience and progress demonstrate the value of the apprenticeship scheme. He commented:
“We believe that, with the support of ECA, Lark Technology’s success has been through investing in people. Our commitment to take on apprentices every year has meant we have a strong team and a wealth of experience is shared.”
The business is actively involved with ECA. James was previously Chair of the Ipswich Branch and a member of ECA’s East Region REC. While another Director, Luke Hodson, is currently a member of the Technical Committee.
To celebrate their 35th anniversary Lark Technology have held a Go Karting Event in June, they have invited all Staff to a company day at the Newmarket Races in July and have sponsored the East Anglian Beer and Cider Festival in August. They have even teamed up with the Nethergate Brewery to make a special Beer, “Lark 35”, to mark the occasion.
