A major review of the content of the main Electrician apprenticeship standard in England is now under way. ECA members and other industry stakeholders now have the opportunity to comment on draft proposals by the deadline of 9 September.
Proposed changes include an increased emphasis on new technology including digital and low carbon installations, and the related demands on Electricians’ knowledge and skills. The Institute for Apprenticeships Employer Group involved in developing the proposals intend that the apprenticeship will continue to provide foundation knowledge and skills in several areas which can be further developed through technology specific courses following completion of the apprenticeship.
If you are interested in taking part, please click here before the 9 September deadline.
