FREE first-time SSIP assessment via CHAS

New and existing ECA Members may access one first-time SSIP assessment via CHAS for free, subject to the following terms.

To be eligible ECA Members:

• Must be up to date with their ECA subscriptions
• Cannot hold an existing SSIP Accreditation*

*free CHAS assessment is not available if a member has already been certificated by Constructionline or an SSIP member scheme (member schemes include Safecontractor, Altius, SMAS and Exor, and many OHSAS 18001/45001 certification schemes). Free first time CHAS assessment can only be accessed once by any ECA Member, and it is not available to ECA Client/Specifiers or ECA Commercial Associates, or for CHAS Advanced or CHAS Elite accreditation.

*the discount does not apply for first-time assessments for CHAS Advanced or CHAS Elite accreditation.

CHAS renewal discounts for ECA Members

ECA has gained an exclusive discount of 27% off all recurring CHAS assessments when an ECA Member renews their accreditation.

• This offer is available to all new and existing members
• Whether or not an ECA Member has used ECA’s free first-time CHAS assessment discount, they can still take advantage of this renewal discount
• If a Member has held a CHAS accreditation pre or post joining ECA, they can still take advantage of this renewal discount

Additional discounts available to Members: 

• CHAS Upgrade Discounts

A 27% discount is offered to ECA Members wishing to upgrade to CHAS Advanced (SSIP & PAS 91 included) or CHAS Elite (Common Assessment Standard included).

• ‘Deemed to Satisfy’ Discount

A 10% discount is offered if an ECA Member has already completed a health and safety assessment with another SSIP assessment body. This ‘Deemed to Satisfy’ discount gives the option to hold a CHAS accreditation without needing to undertake another assessment. CHAS can recognise ECA Member’s SSIP credentials via a different SSIP party. 

• On Site Audit Discounts

ECA Members recieve a 15% discount for on site audits.

About CHAS and SSIP

CHAS is a leading pre-qualification health and safety assessment scheme and is a founder of SSIP. This meaning that CHAS assessments meet all the requirements of the SSIP standard and is in line with industry standard PAS 91.
