JIB Pay Rate
ECA has completed a two year agreement for JIB wages and conditions for 2024/25 .
Details of the changes under the JIB agreement effective from Monday 1st January 2024 are available to view here.
The main changes introduced in the two year settlement are;
From Monday 1st January 2024
- 7% increase to rates
- £20 increase to weekly sick pay for all grades during weeks 3 to 24 – therefore providing:
£210 per week for a Technician
£200 per week for an Approved Electrician
£190 per week for an Electrician
£180 per week for others as defined in clause 1.3 note(a) of Section 9 of the JIB Handbook - £10 increase to weekly sick pay for all grades (as above) during weeks 25 to 52. 2.5% increase in wages
From Monday 6th January 2025
- 5% increase to rates
- £10,000 increase to death in service benefit – therefore up from £30,000 to £40,000
- A ‘franchise’ arrangement for sick pay – an arrangement to reimburse the 2nd week of absence after an employee has been off sick for 8 weeks.
- 50p - £2 responsibility money – increased from 10p - £1. 2.5% increase in wages
