Welcome to ECA's South West Region
This Region stretches from mid-Somerset to the Scilly Isles, taking in the counties of Devon & Cornwall, and a portion of Somerset. ECA’s local activities operate through two local Branch groups, Plymouth & Cornwall Branches and Exeter, Torbay & Taunton Branches. These branches facilitate a range of events and meetings to keep Members engaged, from committee meetings to brewery visits, racing days and CPD sessions!
The Members find these meetings most useful for networking and finding out the latest industry news. I work closely with the Regional Executive Committee to ensure that these events are streamlined, value-adding - also providing some ‘community’ for Members spread over a wide geographical area. In addition, there is an annual regional event which is always very popular, so don’t hesitate to book when the invitation hits your inbox!
Close links with specifiers, client bodies and wider industry partners in the area means Members are aware of local and regional initiatives that may impact on their business. It also means we can champion the crucial role of the electrotechnical industry to the South West’s economy.
In addition to the considerable benefits enjoyed by Members of ECA, in the South West Region they can also avail themselves of a generous training grant which is available to the Members, specifically for electrotechnical training.
