Circular 93 2012 - ECA receives Institute of Administrative Management (IAM) accreditation

23 May 2012

ECA is pleased to announce that the ECA training team has been fully accredited by the Institute of Administrative Management to offer IAM qualifications up to Level 5.

The Association can now offer delegates of the ECA’s Business Administration Programme the opportunity to gain formal IAM qualifications for their learning on the programme so that they achieve professional recognition for their skills.

The Business Administration programme is designed to benefit administrators working in all roles and at all levels. It aims to enhance administrators' awareness of their role in the business, enabling them to integrate their work more fully and effectively within the teams they work with and get better results from those whom they support.

ECA has been working for over five years to provide solutions to stimulate the gain of professional and management level skills in the electrical contracting industry. The Business Administration Programme was developed following the outstanding success of the ECA Management Development Programme for supervisory and management staff, which is formally recognised by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI).

Full details of the ECA's Business Administration and Management Development programmes are available on the ECA website. We are waiting to receive our formal centre accreditation documentation. Once received, the Business Administration programme documents will be updated with IAM qualification details.

Further information about the Business Administration Programme and IAM qualifications is also available from John Corcoran, Regional Education & Training Manager on 01732 471715 or john.corcoran@eca.co.uk.
