With the launch of its new Training Standard in February this year, the UKCG (UK Contractors Group) now requires minimum levels of health & safety training to be held by employees of all companies carrying out work on UKCG sites, at the following levels:
- Directors
- Managers
- Supervisors
- Operatives (including new entrants)
The ECA short course team offers a full range of health & safety courses that satisfies the UKCG requirements, including:
- IOSH for Senior Executives
- IOSH Managing Safely in Construction
- IOSH Managing Safely in Construction (Recertification)
- CITB Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS)
- CITB SMSTS (Refresher) Site Manager Training
Upcoming dates for these courses have now been set and are available from the ECA website.
The UKCG represents the majority of the UK's largest construction contractors; ECA is an associate member and actively represents the interests of ECA Registered Members within the UKCG.
The UKCG launched its new training standard on 16 February 2012, specifying minimum training requirements for all individuals undertaking work on UKCG construction sites at various levels.
