Plans are underway to incorporate the forthcoming 18th Edition of the IET Wiring Regulations into the Electrotechnical Certification Scheme (ECS) in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, to allow ECS cardholders to demonstrate their continuing professional development.
The government has published the Reporting on Payment Practices and Performance Regulations 2017. These Regulations require large businesses* to report on their payment practices, policies and performance. The duty will apply to financial years that begin on or after 6 April 2017. Larger ECA member companies are advised to check whether they are covered by the duty to report.
