TrustMark is a scheme supported by Government, the building industry and consumer groups to help householders find reliable and competent contractors to carry out improvements and repairs to their home.

The ECA is a licensed TrustMark operator and a number of our Registered Members have become TrustMarked. Find a TrustMarked ECA Registered Member in your area, tick 'Trustmark' when you use the advanced member search.
You can be confident that each ECA Registered Member:
- has their technical competence rigorously assessed on a regular basis
- has signed up to the ECA Code of Fair Trading that includes insurance cover, good health and safety practices and proper customer dealings
- is registered with a Government-approved Full Scope Competent Person Schemes for Part P of the Building Regulations (if they have indicated that they carry out domestic work), which means they can provide you with a Building Regulations Compliance certificate
- has its work guaranteed by the ECA Guarantee of Work Scheme and covered by the ECA Bond.
Complaints
If you have a complaint about work carried out for you, please contact the Registered Member concerned in the first instance. If you are the unable to resolve the issue the ECA, as TrustMark scheme operator, will investigate and endeavour to resolve the matter. Please refer to our Complaints Management Procedure for more details.
Contract value limit
Please note that each Registered Member has been assigned a 'Contract Value Limit'. This is the maximum value of a job the member is entitled to carry out as a TrustMark-registered firm. In the event that the value of a job exceeds a member’s 'Contract Value Limit', the above-mentioned insurance-backed Guarantee of Work Scheme and the ECA Bond become void, as the member is operating in default of TrustMark's requirements.
